ANNOUNCEMENTS
SAINT NICK'S BAZAAR - Dec. 7th
On December 7th from 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM we will be having vendor booths (food, crafts, baked goods, etc.), a booth for children to take a photo with St. Nick, Gingerbread Houses of Loretto ($5.00 donation for the decorating kit), games and additional crafts available for kids. It'll be Christmas fun for the whole family!
THE IMMACULATE CONCEPTION OF THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY - Dec. 9th
A Holy Day of Obligation. Our Mass schedule is as follows: 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM Novus Ordo. The 7:00 PM will be a Latin High Mass. After the 7:00 PM we will be having a procession through the parking lot.
OUR LADY OF GUADALUPE - Dec. 12th
Not a Holy Day of Obligation. Our Mass schedule is as follows: 6:30 AM and 8:00 AM Novus Order and 7:00 PM High Latin Mass.
Following the 7:00 PM Latin High Mass we will be having a small procession. The procession we begin from the church and lead to the Parish Hall where we will be having tamales and champurrado to share.
CHRISTMAS WIGILIA DINNER - Dec. 14th
Wigilia (from the Latin word 'vigil') is the traditional Christmas Eve vigil supper in Poland. Our Raising Saints Ministry will be recreating this dinner celebration with Father James Lane in the Parish Hall on December 14th. The festivities will start with Christmas carols at 5:00 PM. Father Lane will then be leading us through the tradition of breaking bread. Dinner is a meatless potluck. Please bring your favorite dish to share!
SIMBANG GABI - Dec. 15th - 23rd
Every night beginning on December 15th up until December 23rd there will be a special 9:00 PM Novus Ordo Mass for Simbang Gabi (Filipino tradition leading up to Christmas.) Light refreshments will be available after Mass most nights.
CHRISTMAS POSADA - Dec. 21st
Join us for our Annual Posada (the Spanish tradition of telling the Christmas story). It will begin with the Rosary inside of the church at 3:00 PM. The posada itself will begin at 3:30 PM right outside of the church and continue back towards the Parish Hall. From 4:30 PM to 7:00 PM there will be a family potluck, traditional pinatas and games and crafts for kids. Hope to see you there!
SAN SECONDO FOOD PANTRY
Our San Secondo Food Pantry provides food for families in need all year round. We are in need to non-perishable food donations. Requested items include: Pasta, pasta sauce, boxed mashed potatoes, boxed mac and cheese, peanut butter and jelly, dry cereal, pancake mix, oatmeal, fruit cups, juice boxes, canned soup and chili, canned, boxed, or powdered milk, cooking oil, rice, beans, canned fruit and vegetables, spam, canned tuna, canned sausages, canned chicken, granola bars, apple sauce, crackers. Please bring your donations to the Parish Office during office hours or drop them off at the Knights of Columbus table after Mass. Thank you and God bless for your continued support of this ministry!
